Associates' Founding Principal, Emerson M. Wickwire's 30-year career in finance has included extensive experience in all areas of balance sheet management, funding, investments, fiscal operations, systems, reporting and administration. He has served as a commercial banker, an investment banker, as well as a long-time independent financial consultant specializing directly in the fiscal management issues of higher education.
As Treasurer of a major Pittsburgh bank and its holding company, he was responsible for management of over $2 billion in investment and cash flow assets. For many years he also served as head of the Bank Trust Departments, focusing on the fiduciary issues particular to colleges and universities.
His 20-year experience in management of tax-free bond issuance, debt structure and underwriting has been with commercial and investment banks as well as for many and varied non-profit issuers of bonded debt.
He possesses an extensive and direct 15-year experience with academic accrediting and D.O.E. regulatory authorities.
An economics graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he has attended Tulane University and the University of Michigan's Public Finance Institute in its Graduate School of Business. Mr. Wickwire has been an instructor in Economics at Robert Morris University.
